Sundog Quarter Horses |
|
We are a small family-owned ranch located 35 miles east of Colorado Springs. We are dedicated to raising quality registered American Quarter horses. We have a few mares we breed in order to produce good 'using-type' performance horses. Our broodmares aren't ornaments; they all are broke to ride, they work and still manage to produce high-quality foals for us too. We believe that mares are not only producers of foals, but must be able to demonstrate their abilities too. Our mares are from different performance bloodlines, but our primary focus is on the King and Easter King bloodlines: horses that excel in reining, working cowhorse, team penning and sorting. These mares were thoughtfully and carefully selected over the last ten years. We seek mares that have a certain look and type and we don’t stray far from that kind. Strong, sound legs and correct structure, pretty faces, depth of muscle, heart and overall balance are the traits we want in our ladies.
